‘Sensing Self’ (2011) Installation exhibited at the Leeds College of Art / Photography Graduation Show ‘Unseen’ last June.
You can watch the online version of the moving image HERE.
This is how we responded to the ‘2.8 Days Later’ Film Challenge organized by Left Eye Blind/Trinity Leeds. Conceptualized/ choreographed, shot & edited between the 18th- 20th November.
REFLECTIONS (2011)
The short film is about fusing visual and performance art together to show different peoples views of themselves whilst not being to literal to the stimulus ‘Reflections’. We see individuals looking at internal reflection and duos commenting on each other in the environments they were given. The film juxtaposes different environments from several performances to add overall reflection to the short as well as in the individual movements the performers display. Overall it is about watching a sensitive and brash look at 6 peoples inner feelings, both alone or with someone else.
If you liked the film or just want to show your appreciation, you can click HERE and ‘like’ the film on the Leeds Trinity Facebook Page… this will give the film a chance to win a ‘People’s Choice’ Award. We will hopefully be launching a second edit of the film (the final/ improved & colour graded version) early this year. Thank you for watching! :)
‘2.8 DAYS LATER’ FILM CHALLENGE…
We did it. We actually handed in at 9.55am monday morning (Deadline at 10am). After 10 hours sleep over the course of 3 days, the short film is around 3 mins and 25 seconds long. Under that ridiculous time pressure what we’ve handed in is only our first draft, 8 hours straight of editing that started at 11pm sunday through out the night and morning whilst the city slept. No time for editing corrections, colour grading or any form of polishing. What you will see is exactly what we were capable of making in 2.8 days. And we did try our best, we all did the absolute best we could given the circumstances.
There will be 2 versions of the film. The first will be uploaded here. This will be the video made in constraints of the 2.8 days later film challenge. The second will be uploaded here, this will be the “final/polished” version of the film, which will be around 5mins long in total.
More words and pictures on the experience to come…
